In 2021, our company achieved great milestones, and we wanted to create a user experience that could illustrate our excitement and pride through the design. We wanted to create a “year-in-review” webpage that felt interactive, unique, and kept the user curious to scroll and explore.

Problem the company had:

We had a lot of content we wanted to share to recap our successes in 2021 and we wanted to do it without it feeling overwhelming to ensure we could capture their interest and attention span.

The Hubspot Content Hub solution:

We did some research into unique website design and came across side-scrolling. It felt like something we rarely see and it immediately grabbed our attention. We had a hypothesis: side-scrolling surprises the user – keeping them interested and engaged for longer periods of time, so we went with it!

Results:

This page has a 23% higher time spent on site than our average metric. To us, this reflects people are more engaged with our site. We also received a positive response from many readers on the “side-scrolling” design experience specifically.
