Dynamic Event Listing Pages using HubDB

Oxfam Intermon used HubDB to store event information that could be shown on an overview page as well as a dynamic detail page for each event. Content was ordered by proximity to the site visitor and filtered by province.

Overview:

A HubDB table was implemented as the main tool to store event information, and individual listing pages were created through a dynamic page template using information directly from the tables. We implemented conditions so that site visitors would not see events stored in the table that had already passed and events were ordered from the closest to the furthest away. We also used the “Foreign ID” field, which allowed us to link a row from a different table to a specific row in the main table of the event, thus adding different links to offer downloadable content from every single event such as Posters, itineraries, and more.

Problem the company had:

The company required to show its event agenda, organized by proximity and filtered by province, as well as getting unpublished the events already carried out automatically, also having a detailed file with more detailed information and offering downloadable information on each event.

The Hubspot Content Hub solution:

Implementation of HubDB and Dynamic Pages for Event Agenda Filtering and sorting of events from HubDB

Results:

The Oxfamintermón team now has the ability to easily create pages as they see fit. After the development, the team (without any website building experience) was able to build pages on their own without the need for technical support. The site has 80 pages and the team was able to build 40 of those with total satisfaction on the results.
